A closer look.

At the heart of the Houses of Hogwarts™ collection lies the most enchanting duo—where writing becomes a ritual, and every detail leaves a legacy.

The Joule Fountain Pen, Ferris Wheel Press’ crowning achievement in writing design, has been transformed to honour the four noble Houses of Hogwarts. From the courageous lion of Gryffindor to the wise raven of Ravenclaw, each edition features a custom-etched grip section inspired by House iconography and virtues. Precision-crafted with a solid brass body and finished in radiant House-themed lacquers, the Joule delivers a beautifully weighted writing experience with exceptional balance in hand.

But no journey is complete without its magical counterpart. Each Joule is complemented by its original House ink—a gleaming 38ml treasure crowned with a sculpted metal cap, cast in intricate detail to bring each House mascot to life. These collectible bottles shimmer with brilliance and serve as timeless keepsakes—true emblems of distinction.

Care & use.

DO NOT post the cap onto your pen when writing. Our pen has been designed and balanced to write with the cap un-posted
The threads of the cap are brass and risk damaging the lacquer if you post the cap
Store pen vertically with the tip pointing upwards when not in use to minimize clogs; routine flushing and maintenance recommended, especially with sparkling inks

Filling your Joule Fountain Pen

Unscrew to remove the barrel from the grip section and access the converter.
Place the fountain pen nib fully into warm water. Flush the nib by twisting/untwisting the converter until the water runs clear.
Allow to dry thoroughly.
Fill a new colour by fully submerging the nib and feeder into the ink, then draw the ink into your pen but twisting the converter until you’ve reached the top position.

Notes:

For heavily saturated inks and darker tones, or clogged nibs, you may need to soak the grip/feeder in water overnight
It is normal for some air bubbles to enter the converter when refilling ink

Elegant, Substantial, & Beautiful to write with

The Ferris Wheel Press Ravenclaw Fountain Pen is a beautiful pen, both in appearance and in the way it feels in the hand. The darker colour palette and detailing give it an elegant, slightly dramatic look that suits the Ravenclaw inspiration perfectly.

The Joule body is one of the things I really enjoy about this pen. It has a thicker, more substantial feel in the hand, which I find comfortable and nicely balanced for longer writing sessions.

The nib writes smoothly with a consistent ink flow, and the pen feels controlled without being delicate. I especially enjoy using it with Ferris Wheel Press inks because the overall experience feels a little more special than simply picking up an everyday writing pen.

For me, the Ravenclaw combines the decorative, collectible quality Ferris Wheel Press does so well with a pen that I genuinely enjoy writing with. It’s beautiful enough to display, but still very much a pen I want to use.

My first Joule with silver Trim!

My first Joule with silver Trim! Almost the same blue enamel as Blue Revelry, but with a matte silver trim and nib, which as always is a superb writer - somewhere between fine and medium. Wonderful enamelling and a marvellous nib. I wonder what spells I'll be writing with this one?

What a classy pen! (No pun intended)

What a classy pen! (No pun intended).
Their Joule pens are the largest of their pens, I have the No.6 nib which I love, it takes all their inks so well, it writes smoothly and I've never had a problem with Flow or lagging. It writes so smoothly, even with sparkly inks.
The design is beautiful! I have both the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff! Each nib has their house design. I love how Ravenclaw's nib is silver and Hufflepuff is gold.
Again, the pens are very classy, you can use them for years and years.

Love the details of the design!

Love love love! The design of the pen is so beautiful and magical, from the box, the leather case and not to mention the HP details on the pen! Good quality!
